Get to know SVU

More than just volleyball
SVU is one of the largest student volleyball club in Amsterdam. With 9 women’s teams and 6 men’s teams, we play in leagues ranging from the sixth class up to promotion class and we have mixed team for beginners. While we love to compete, having fun and team spirit are just as important. After trainings on Monday and Wednesday evenings, many members head to our sports canteen (“The Hangout”) for a drink or a game of pool. Throughout the year, 15 committees organize all kinds of social events, from monthly activities to ski trips, parties, and tournaments.

SVU is constantly on the move, every year we welcome new student players and say goodbye to graduates, this keeps our club dynamic and full of fresh energy. Oh, and did we mention we hold a Guinness World Record for a 101-hour volleyball match? Plenty of reasons to come check us out!

Every level

At SVU Volleybal, there are 16 teams playing at all levels, from beginners to experienced players. There's guaranteed to be a team that suits you!

For students

By students, for students; whether you’re from university, HBO or MBO. At SVU Volleybal, you play with your peers. And of course, that comes with lots of gezelligheid and many beers!

Low-price

With an annual membership fee starting at €233, SVU is one of the least expensive student volleyball clubs in Amsterdam.
